Is this for profit or for charity?
This will be for charity! After we form the contributor team, we will be discussing with everyone on what charity to decide on, based on those recommended in the interest check.

Are ships allowed in this zine?
Ships will be allowed. However, we will not allow any pitches containing incest, pedophilia, or NSFW (for the main zine). We will also not condone racist, transphobic, homophobic, or any hateful/discriminatory material.

How will contributors be compensated for this zine?
Contributors will receive a digital copy of the zine. Depending on sales, we hope to give every contributor a full bundle. Contributors will also be able to purchase the physical zine and merch at production cost if we cannot provide the full bundle.

Will there be NSFW content in this zine?
There will not be any NSFW content in the main zine. However, depending on the interest check, we will have a side zine accompaniment that will explore darker-themed fairy tales.

We will update this info depending on the amount of applications and interest we receive.

This will be dependent on current COVID and shipping restrictions. We will be shipping from the USA.

Who can apply?
For the main zine, anyone above the age of 16 may apply. For the side zine and mods, we will only be accepting those who are 18 years and older.

I don’t really understand the theme of the zine. What exactly do you mean by “fairytale”?
We apologize for being so general. When the idea first came about, we generalized it to fairytale, but we’re really looking for a variety of folklore and fables across cultures. We will be on the lookout for non-European pitches!

There was also a zine in 2019-2020 that focused on crossovers on Legend of Zelda and classic fairy tales.
We are aware that there was a zine in 2019-2020 that featured classic fairy tales. Alongside the interest we have received in the progression of this zine, we also would like to give a chance for more contributors and consumers alike to share and receive the love of BOTW and fairy tales/folklore. We, ourselves, are very excited for different folklore from around the world with our favorite BOTW characters.

Would you consider opening this to all Legend of Zelda games instead of just Breath of the Wild?
As much as we would like to include all Zelda titles, both mods are not as familiar with many of the titles aside from BOTW. As a result, we feel that we are inadequate to head a zine that features all titles. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that there is still plenty of interest in the BOTW characters and world to move forward with this zine.

Can mods submit art pieces or merch?
After some reconsideration, we will be allowing mods to contribute to the zine if they wish to. While they do not have to fill out a contributor form, we will be discussing pitches with them while we go over contributor applications.

Is this going to be an anthology or a fairytale book?
This zine will feature written works, artworks, merchandise, and music pieces.

What exactly would the accompaniment zine be/theme?
In terms of the NSFW accompaniment zine, we wanted to create a zine specifically for the darker-themed tales, not sexual content. For example, The Grimm Fairytales contain heavier and darker themes that most will not be comfortable with. The side zine would allow us to feature works in a similar fashion without excluding those who would prefer the SFW main zine.
